I think a little analysis of the book helps to know the theme of the book clearly. if anybody discusses about the book after reading it with different persons who have read the book already, various ideas, different explanations come out which helps to understand the theme. Sometimes it insists people to read the book.
I usually do a small analysis, to wrap it up, sort of. Go over the strong points I liked and the ones I didn’t, and see if the book’s worth another read in a while. I also discuss some books with people… I guess it all comes from the fact my Mother is a literature major, she got me into analyzing, discussing and reading books. But I’m not regretting it… sometimes reading takes up time, but often it pays off.
I definately agree. Especially with books that lead towards a specific end (like a conflict between two sides and you guess at which one would win), thinking about possible endings and plot complications or resolutions is a great exercise for the imagination. Plus, it’s fun. I actually like being wrong most often, because that means the book surprised me, which is usually good. If I already guessed the ending and it was obvious, then it’s not as fun unless it’s very well written.
It is good to make an analisyis of the book that we have read, because we can see or learn from different situations, ideas or religions.
Most the time when we choose a book to read, it is because the theme is interestiong and important to us.
In my opinion read a book and analyze it, is like a trip that we make through it.
We can have joy, share with people and be better informed.

You are just like me. My mom also joins me and helps me to make an analysis. Actually, I think a short analysis of the book makes us think about the theme deeply. sometimes I start the analysis before completing the book. I try to make out, that what would happen at the last. Sometimes my thoughts match and sometimes don’t. That’s not the matter. I think, it increases my imagination power. What do you think?
